Job summary

Crawford Mechanical Services, a Quantum Industrial company, is seeking a Junior Plumbing & Wet-Side Mechanical Estimator to support the estimating team on large-scale commercial projects. You will review drawings, perform digital takeoffs, and help develop material, labor, and equipment estimates under mentorship.

This early-career role offers hands-on training, exposure to plumbing and wet-side mechanical systems, and guidance from senior estimators as you build estimating skills and advance

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of plumbing and wet-side mechanical estimating experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience performing digital plan takeoffs.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and/or wet-side mechanical systems.
• Experience with Trimble AutoBid or other estimating/takeoff software preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for plumbing and wet-side mechanical systems.
• Develop material, equipment, and labor estimates.
• Assist in preparing complete project estimates, bids, and proposals.
• Identify project scope, requirements, exclusions, and potential discrepancies within plans and specifications.
• Work closely with experienced estimators who will provide guidance, training, and mentorship as you develop your estimating skills and grow your career.
• Organize takeoffs and estimating information clearly and accurately.
• Help ensure estimates are completed accurately and within bid deadlines.
• Collaborate with estimators and other team members throughout the estimating process.
• Maintain organized project files and estimating documentation.
• Review completed estimates and project feedback to continually improve estimating accuracy.
• Take on increasingly complex estimating responsibilities as your experience and knowledge grow.

About the role
