Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Plumbing Designer to design basic building systems, prepare technical documents, and perform calculations in coordination with project teams. You’ll contribute expertise across sectors and collaborate with Henderson Building Solutions to deliver exceptional client experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field and 1 year of experience, or 3 years without a degree.
• Basic proficiency in engineering design, codes, and design guides.
• Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu preferred.
• FE exam completed or in progress preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and designs basic engineering systems with team.
• Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs.
• Prepares or modifies reports, plans, and designs for projects.
• Supports business development or pursuit activities.
• Participates in client or industry events to build relationships.
• Occasionally visits job sites to verify conditions and observe progress.
• Maintains knowledge of industry software including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office.
