Job summary

Vertiv seeks a motivated Junior Systems Engineer to join its software department, focusing on the configuration, testing, and deployment of PLC, control, and power-monitoring systems. This role offers hands-on experience in automation and control engineering within a global leader.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of PLC programming and industrial control systems.
Familiarity with SCADA systems, HMI design, and protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, or Profibus.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design, configuration, and testing of PLC and SCADA systems.
Develop and validate software for control and power monitoring systems.
Perform system integration testing to ensure compatibility with switchgear products.
Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC programming, communication protocols, and control systems.
Assist with preparation of technical documentation, including system configuration details, test plans, and user manuals.
Maintain accurate records of system modifications and testing procedures.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Liaise with customers to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in automation and control systems.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and optimize system performance.
