Job summary

DEKA Research & Development is seeking a Junior Plastics Engineer to develop plastic components for medical products. You will work with engineers to drive plastics assembly process development and transfer to high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications include a plastics/manufacturing engineering degree and hands-on molding experience, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills. Travel may be required; on-site location in New Hampshire.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a plastics/manufacturing engineering degree.
• Experience with plastics materials, including medical grade materials.
• Hands-on experience with plastic molding processes and tooling.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing and prototype to high-volume transitions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead plastics assembly process development and transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams on robust manufacturing stations.
• Source external suppliers for molding, tooling and materials.
• Support design of experiments and documentation for assembly.
