Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking a Software Engineer to support a large PKI-focused development program. You will design and enhance authentication, authorization, and certificate management systems while ensuring secure, reliable IT operations.

Ideal candidates have TS/SCI with Polygraph, a BS, 3–5 years of experience, and hands-on work with Java/Springboot, AWS, RESTful APIs, and scripting on Linux.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 3-5 years of demonstrable software experience.
• Experience with Java, Springboot, and AWS for backend components.
• Proficient in RESTful API design and modern scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop PKI systems, issuing and managing certificates securely.
• Collaborate with product owners and teams to translate requirements.
• Contribute to designing scalable, testable distributed systems.
• Install/configure code on EC2 instances and manage CLIs.
• Assist in security findings remediation with the security engineer.
• Work in Scrum and participate in O M on-call rotation.
