Job summary

RCT Systems in Reston, VA is seeking a Software Developer to support and modernize enterprise PKI and Identity & Access Management (IdAM) systems. You will develop cloud-based applications for mission-critical government networks in an Agile Scrum environment.

You will build Java/Spring Boot backend applications on AWS, design REST APIs, and collaborate with security teams. A BS degree with 3–5 years of experience and TS/SCI with Polygraph are required, with Docker/Kubernetes/Jenkins and SQL

Qualifications

• BS degree and 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, AWS on Linux.
• Experience with REST API development and Git.
• Familiarity with CloudFormation and SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot backend applications on AWS.
• Build and enhance enterprise PKI and IdAM systems.
• Design and develop REST APIs and system integrations.
• Participate in Agile Scrum (3-week sprints).
• Write deployment and automation scripts for AWS EC2 and CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, testers, and security teams.
• Support production systems through an on-call rotation (~1 week every 3 months).
