Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience (shelter volunteering or pet sitting) preferred
• High-school diploma or GED preferred
• Genuine passion for animals and desire to pursue grooming
• Basic understanding of dog breeds and grooming practices
• Capable of handling pets of all sizes with care and empathy
• Effective verbal and written communication with pet parents and grooming team

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform limited grooming services such as bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning
• Ensure safety and well-being of every animal in the salon
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide customer service
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain records
• Learn and follow Petco grooming policies and guidelines
