Job summary

Petco Grooming is seeking a motivated Junior Pet Stylist to learn essential grooming skills and start a career with Petco. You’ll train hands-on in bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, and more alongside seasoned groomers.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal related experience or shelter volunteering is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming as a career.
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and grooming practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interactions with pet parents.

Responsibilities

• Bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning as directed.
• Ensure animal well-being and safety in the salon at all times.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide customer service.
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment.
• Schedule appointments, manage paperwork, and maintain records.
• Learn and adhere to Petco grooming policies and guidelines.
