Job summary

Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist to begin a ten‑week training path in grooming, learning bathing, drying, nail trimming, and more under experienced groomers. You will support the grooming process, prioritize pet safety, and deliver excellent customer service to pet parents.

The role offers a path to growth within Petco Grooming and a supportive team environment. During training, you will gain hands‑on experience with brushes, nails, clippers, and grooming tools in a state‑of‑the‑art salon

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of animal-related experience (shelter, pet-sitting, or grooming assistance preferred).
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue a career in pet grooming.
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and grooming practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication with pet parents and team members.
• Weekend, evening, and holiday availability as required by grooming schedule.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform limited grooming services: bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear and gland cleaning.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of every animal in the salon at all times.
• Provide professional customer service and address grooming inquiries with pet parents.
