Job summary

Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist to begin a ten-week training program in grooming. You will learn brushing, bathing, drying, nail care, and more under expert guidance. The role emphasizes safety, animal well‑being, and strong customer service while you build foundational grooming skills.

Qualifications

0-1 year of animal related experience preferred.
High-school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue a career in pet grooming.
Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and grooming practices.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform limited grooming services including bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon.
Interact with pet parents, provide customer service, address grooming inquiries.
Maintain a clean and safe grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment.
Schedule grooming appointments and maintain accurate grooming records.
Learn and adhere to Petco's grooming policies and standards.
