Job summary

Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist to begin a grooming career. You will join a ten-week training program to learn bathing, drying, nail trimming, and other grooming basics under seasoned groomers.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year animal-related experience preferred
• High-school diploma or GED preferred
• Genuine passion for animals

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform limited grooming services (bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, gland cleaning)
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide optimal customer service
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area and sanitize tools/equipment
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain accurate grooming records
• Learn and adhere to Petco's grooming policies and standards
