Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience encouraged
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue grooming
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and grooming practices
• Effective verbal and written communication with clients and team
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist in bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning and gland cleaning under supervision
• Ensure safety and well-being of all pets in the salon
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide customer service
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools
• Schedule appointments and maintain grooming records
• Learn and follow Petco's grooming policies and standards
