Job summary

Citi is seeking an entry-level Personal Banker in Santa Monica, CA, to assist in sales and service activities with the customer service team. The role aims to build client relationships and loyalty while increasing sales to individual consumer clients.

Responsibilities include handling small business loan referrals, cross-selling treasury products, growing referral networks, coaching staff, and ensuring compliance with Citigroup policies. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies.
• NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with small business lending requests under $250K and refer larger opportunities.
• Build referral opportunities through COIs and MGM programs.
• Grow small business client base and implement sales plans.
• Deliver client services and outbound/inbound calls to acquire and deepen relationships.
• Coach tellers and staff on products and referrals.
• Educate clients on services and digital channels; present financial solutions.
