Job summary

Dennis Group is a design-build engineering firm and general contractor specializing in food and beverage processing facilities. Packaging Engineers collaborate with process, controls, and building system engineers to scope, lay out, install, and commission packaging equipment lines for our clients.

Responsibilities include defining equipment requirements, estimating costs, creating flow diagrams, on-site construction support, and startup and commissioning of packaging systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, packaging, industrial, or manufacturing engineering required.
• 0-3 years of experience in packaging equipment scope, layout, install, and commissioning preferred.
• Experience with packaging, food & beverage firms is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with AutoCAD required.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, estimates and specifications for packaging lines.
• Interpret mechanical design requirements to ensure packaging system realization.
• Oversee purchase, installation and commissioning of packaging equipment.
• Coordinate on-site construction project management and support.
• Create packaging flow diagrams and material balances.
