Job summary

AS Beauty is seeking a highly organized Junior Production Designer to support the production of packaging across our brands. The role focuses on production-ready artwork, dielines, and precise execution for launches and updates.

The ideal candidate brings a strong technical skill set, attention to detail, and the ability to work with Packaging Designers and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in print materials.

Qualifications

• Degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
• Experience in production design, packaging production, graphic design, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of packaging artwork, dielines, technical drawings, print production, color management, and prepress processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain production-ready packaging artwork, dielines, and mechanical files for new product launches and existing product updates.
• Execute packaging revisions related to claims regulatory requirements, retailer specifications, ingredient changes, and artwork updates.
• Ensure packaging files are accurate, organized, and compliant with brand standards and production specifications.
• Work directly with Packaging Designers to translate creative concepts into production-ready files.
• Collaborate closely with Sourcing and Production, Copy, Product Development, and Regulatory teams throughout the packaging development process.
• Manage version control and organization of packaging assets, templates, and production files.
• Conduct quality control reviews of pre-production samples to identify and correct artwork, copy, and formatting issues prior to release.
• Communicate detailed feedback on sample reviews to printers and vendors, ensuring artwork is prepared correctly for manufacturing.
• Closely monitor trend forecasting within the beauty space to support design decision making.
• Conduct competitive market research online and in retail stores.
• Support the development of packaging mockups and presentations as needed.

• Strong understanding of packaging artwork, dielines, technical drawings, print production, color management, and prepress processes
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Experience working with consumer packaged goods, beauty, personal care, or retail brands is a plus
