Job summary

Midlab is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join its Graphics team in Athens, TN. This role supports the development of packaging, labels, and marketing materials, collaborating with multiple departments to ensure creative, accurate, and production-ready assets.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of graphic design experience, proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and a strong eye for detail while following brand guidelines. A manufacturing environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field required.
• 1–2 years of graphic design experience; internships, school projects, and portfolio work will be considered.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines while bringing creativity and fresh ideas to projects.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of packaging, product labels, and marketing materials.
• Create, update, and maintain existing design files.
• Follow established brand standards and style guidelines across all projects.
• Build and modify product labels using established templates and specifications.
• Prepare production-ready files for print and digital applications.
• Review artwork carefully for accuracy, consistency, and quality before final production.
• Work with technical information and product specifications to develop accurate packaging and marketing materials.
• Collaborate with the creative team, marketing, product development, and other departments.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Take direction and feedback from senior designers and department leadership.
• Stay current with design trends, software capabilities, and best practices.

Education

Associate degree in Graphic Design

Bachelor’s degree preferred
