Job summary

University of California, San Francisco is seeking a Junior or Assistant Specialist in the Hong lab to advance informatics research in personalized oncology care. You will develop computational tools, manage data, and apply ML/DL and NLP methods to real-world clinical data.

Qualifications

• Junior Specialist: Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience.
• Assistant Specialist: Master’s degree or a baccalaureate degree with 3 or more years of research experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform informatics research to develop computational tools and analyses related to personalized oncology care.
• Data management, implementation, and programming of computational tools including machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
• Collaboration with other members of the lab and affiliated groups, support administrative tasks on the team, and work closely with other lab members.
• Participate in lab meetings, prepare and present data analyses at lab meetings and journal club, and conduct research related to radiology.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
