Job summary

Roush in Livonia, MI, is seeking an entry-level CAE engineer to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for NVH and Durability in automotive, aerospace, and entertainment sectors. You will build FEA models and run simulations using Nastran, Abaqus, Optistruct, and ANSYS, with supporting hand calculations.

Responsibilities include creating detailed reports, developing Python scripts for workflow automation, and managing analysis files under our data-retention policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with FEA coursework.
• Fundamentals of FEA methodologies and NVH knowledge.
• Experience with CAE tools and interpreting results.
• Master's or PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build NVH / Durability models for automotive, aerospace, and entertainment applications using CAE tools.
• Run NVH / Durability simulations (linear, nonlinear, dynamic) and postprocess results.
• Develop detailed reports to support customer meetings.
• Develop Python scripts for workflow automation.
• Manage analysis files according to data-retention policies.
