Job summary

Karmak is seeking a Software Developer to join a collaborative, Agile team in Carlinville, IL. You will contribute to building high-quality web applications using VB.NET and C# in Visual Studio, with emphasis on clean code, unit tests, and documentation.

The role supports designing and deploying apps on the Microsoft Azure platform, and may involve travel and cross-domain experience in POS, inventory, or CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience building web-based VB.NET/C# .NET applications using Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying applications on the Microsoft Azure platform is a plus.

• Work on a collaborative mid-size team delivering high quality software.
• Create accurate designs for new software or updates to existing software.
• Create efficient, readable code, unit tests, and documentation.
• Assist with code reviews to help team members develop skills.
