Job summary

G&L Tube LLC, a division of AeroFlow Technologies, is seeking an NDT Technician Level I in Cookeville, TN. This entry-level role performs basic non-destructive testing tasks, follows work instructions, and supports the NDT team.

You will read technique cards, operate x-ray equipment, document logs, and ensure parts meet customer specs. Training is on the job; Level I x-ray certification is required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; on-the-job training.
• Ability to read and follow instructions on technique cards and specs.
• Must complete Level I x-ray Technician exam requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to lift 15-20 pounds frequently and 35 pounds occasionally.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow PPE and safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Read and follow technique card instructions; plan methods for completing assignments.
• Adhere to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Interpret films and certify conformance of castings to customer requirements.
• Develop and/or approve complex x-ray shooting sketches and techniques used by other x-ray personnel.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and maintain maintenance programs for all equipment; operate equipment as required.
• Perform equipment calibrations as necessary.
• Perform basic NDT support tasks (staging work, etc.).
• Complete records and logs to assure compliance to specifications.
• Maintain/generate related graphs, records, and reports; interact with customers and inspectors.
• Work in a team environment; follow instructions and assist others as needed.
• Follow housekeeping and safety practices; perform duties as assigned.
