Job summary

Everforth ECS in Virginia seeks a Junior Software Engineer to contribute on-site at Springfield, VA or Fairfax, VA. You will join a state-of-the-art ML/AI program, integrating multiple ML applications for a government client while working across front-end and back-end technologies.

You will participate in server-side and client-side development, improve existing systems, and help define features with stakeholders and the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with SCI + CI Poly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 0-3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing ETL solutions in C++, Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Strong attention to detail and robust design patterns.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL and in-memory databases (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis).
• Ability to build real-time data pipelines and event-driven architectures (Kafka).
• Develop server-side apps and implement end-to-end tracing/monitoring (OpenTelemetry).
• Design and maintain resilient, high-traffic microservices.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Node.js, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Linux and scripting (Bash, Sed, Awk).
• Expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud tooling.
• API integration & development.
• Experience with containerization/orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Rancher, OpenShift).
• Experience with DevSecOps frameworks (GitLab, Jira).
• Experience developing architecture and data flow diagrams.
• Excellent communication/presentation skills.
• Ability to grasp new technologies quickly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Co‑leading product direction and feature specification with community stakeholders and Program Manager.
