Job summary

A staffing and recruiting company seeks an entry-level Mechanical Engineer for a shipbuilding project supporting the U.S. Navy. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and experience with FEA and CAD tools. Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA); college-level experience acceptable.
  • Background in maritime shipbuilding and whole-ship design preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct FEA analysis on the foundation of the ship and its design.
  • Utilize Navisworks, DDAM, and other CAD/CAE tools for ship design validation.
  • Attend high-level Navy meetings to report progress and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Ensure project scope, deadlines, and NAVSEA compliance are met.
