CACI International Inc in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team, focusing on mobile and transportable shelter system designs and integration with related subsystems. The role requires up to 25% travel across the continental US, an Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI possible), and a BS/MS in mechanical engineering.

Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD/Inventor and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

BS or MS in mechanical engineering required.
0–3 years of DoD or federal mechanical engineering experience preferred.
Active Secret Clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI.
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and technical writing.

Responsibilities

Defines and develops new mobile/transportable shelter system designs.
Identifies subsystems including structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, HVAC and power generation.
Develops mechanical design solutions to hardware limits and creates system specs.
Coordinates and integrates mechanical subsystems for a system of systems.
Performs root cause analysis and failure investigations.
Develops drawings, user guides, test plans and maintenance manuals.
Participates in quality inspections and team-driven design reviews.
Travels up to 25% across the continental US as needed.
