Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our field and shop team. This hands-on role involves inspections, testing, equipment installations, and client-facing work.

The successful candidate will apply mechanical or civil engineering fundamentals and grow with the company. Travel is regional (OH, IN, IL) with some overnight assignments; a driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on technical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical and structural systems and components.
• Perform inspections on suspended access and fall protection equipment.
• Collect field data, perform basic troubleshooting, and support senior engineers in report preparation and testimony.
• Manage and support load testing and equipment installation projects from start to finish.
• Perform engineering calculations for equipment and supporting structural elements (e.g., steel beams, concrete slabs, columns).
• Generate design drawings, specifications, and certification reports.
• Meet with clients, support proposal generation, and manage subcontractors during installations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects.
• Follow safety guidelines and engineering best practices in both lab and field environments.
