Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Cincinnati area team. This hands-on role involves inspections, testing, equipment installations, and client-facing work to apply mechanical or civil engineering skills in the field.

The position is based in the Cincinnati area, with travel throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Mileage reimbursement is provided and occasional out-of-town assignments may be required.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or early-career engineer eager to apply mechanical or civil engineering skills in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical and structural systems and components.
• Perform inspections on suspended access and fall protection equipment in accordance with OSHA, ANSI, IWCA, and ASME standards.
• Collect field data, perform basic troubleshooting, and support senior engineers in report preparation and testimony.
• Manage and support load testing and equipment installation projects from start to finish.
• Perform engineering calculations for equipment and supporting structural elements (e.g., steel beams, concrete slabs, columns).
• Generate design drawings, specifications, and certification reports.
• Meet with clients, support proposal generation, and manage subcontractors during installations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, project management, etc.) to support ongoing projects.
• Follow safety guidelines and engineering best practices in both lab and field environments.
• Other duties as assigned.
