Job summary

C-Motive Technologies, a Middleton, WI startup commercializing electrostatic motors, is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support existing products, drive cost-out initiatives, and collaborate across functions under the Mechanical Engineering Manager.

You will work with the engineering team to set goals, create engineering documentation, contribute to the product roadmap, support R&D, and pursue continuous improvements to lower costs and raise quality, while protecting critical design data.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required; M.S. or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong communication across teams.
• FEA experience in thermal, fluid, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.
• Bearings analysis, reliability, MTBF and life calculations.
• Hands-on design for aluminum/steel/plastic parts for high-volume production.
• SolidWorks proficiency; Altium or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engineering team goals aligned with company objectives.
• Create engineering docs and improve design standards with DFM focus.
• Drive development aligned with product roadmap.
• Provide mechanical support to R&D projects.
• Reduce cost and improve product quality through continuous improvement.
• Secure critical design data while keeping it accessible to users.
