Job summary

ISPA Technology LLC in Panama City Beach, FL is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of advanced marine and mechanical systems. This role offers hands-on experience with mechanical design, CAD, and prototyping in an R&D environment.

You will work alongside experienced engineers on ocean-based technologies, contributing to design reviews and cross-disciplinary collaboration while gaining exposure to field testing and deployment activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 0-2 years of professional experience; internships, co-ops, military experience, or academic projects may be considered.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical design and engineering principles.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, Creo, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and mechanical drafting.
• Exposure to FEA through coursework, internships, or professional experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of materials, fabrication, and manufacturing processes. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Support Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other engineering analyses under guidance from senior engineers.
• Create and update part drawings, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation using CAD software.
• Assist with prototype fabrication, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Support material selection and manufacturing activities.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Support field testing and system deployment activities as needed.

Position Overview
