Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the Air Vehicle team within the SPO. The role requires a U.S. citizenship and a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or systems engineering, with up to 3 years of experience and an interim Secret clearance at hire.

Position based at Eglin AFB, FL, with a 40-hour workweek and travel up to 25%. Relocation assistance is not provided. Comprehensive benefits and ESOP participation are included.

Qualifications

• Up to 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Active interim Secret security clearance required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with design and production documentation reviews and changes.
• Evaluates components for structural integrity and corrosion.
• Reviews and suggests changes to drawings and packaging.
• Assesses program and production process documentation and quality standards.
• Evaluates production validation, verification and test plans.
• Recommends substitutions for obsolete parts and evaluates deviations from approved documentation.

Torch Technologies is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support Air Vehicle team within the System Program Office (SPO).

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

• Manages and technically evaluates changes to design and production documentation.
• Analyzes and inspects components for structural integrity and corrosion.
• Reviews and provides recommended changes to drawing packages.
• Reviews and evaluates mechanically-oriented program and production process documentation and quality standards.
• Evaluates production Validation and Verification and test plans.
• Recommends suitable substitutions for obsolete parts and evaluate deviations and variations to approved documentation

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, aerospace, systems engineering, or equivalent discipline.
• Up to 3 years' relevant experience.
• Active interim Secret security clearance is required at hire.

Preferred Skills

• Design or manufacturing experience
• TS/SC at hire preferred.
• Program office experience is also desired.
