Job summary

Command Post Technologies Inc. (CPT) is seeking an entry‑level Mechanical Engineer to support the U.S. Navy Gun Weapon Systems division at NSWC Dahlgren. The role includes requirements management, CAD design with SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer, and preparation of technical documentation.

Responsibilities cover design reviews, system integration, test planning, data collection, and engineering change coordination in a collaborative, mission‑critical environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 0–2 years of experience in mechanical engineering design or related field.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Support mechanical systems troubleshooting and engineering change activities in coordination with program teams.

Job description

Support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development, evaluation, and sustainment programs in a collaborative, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support mechanical systems requirements management and engineering design activities for Gun Weapon System components and assemblies.
