Job summary

Opportunity Group, Inc. in Holland, MI is hiring an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our machine design team. This permanent, full-time role offers hands-on mentorship and exposure to custom automation equipment.

You will design custom machines, select mechanical components, and develop engineering drawings and BOMs. A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering is required; SolidWorks preferred; familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor or Pro/E is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• SolidWorks preferred; experience with AutoCAD, Inventor or Pro/E is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail custom machines, fixtures, and automation systems.
• Select and size components such as gears, pumps, bearings, hydraulics, and piping.
• Create and review engineering drawings, BOMs, and bid specifications.
• Collaborate with designers to turn concepts into hardware.
• Support continuous improvement in machine design.
