Rate is hiring a Junior Marketing Automation Specialist in Chicago to build and maintain automations that power the marketing tech stack. You will learn the backend of platforms, APIs, data schemas, and authentication, translating marketing needs into working automations using visual workflow builders.

This hands-on role emphasizes growth in technical depth and collaboration with the marketing automation team.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with how automations connect platforms, APIs, data integrity and security concepts.
• Hands-on experience building automations with visual workflow tools (Power Automate, Workfront Fusion, Workato).
• Strong written and verbal communication to document workflows clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build initial automations using visual workflow tools to connect marketing platforms.
• Learn APIs, data schemas and authentication to translate marketing needs into automations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot automations to ensure uptime and data integrity.
• Document workflows, data mappings and dependencies for long-term maintainability.
• Provide limited platform support and collaborate with the marketing automation team.
