Our client in Memphis, TN is seeking an entry/junior level Manufacturing Engineer to join their established team. The position offers relocation assistance and is ideal for candidates renting an apartment in the area.

Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory. Responsibilities include creating standard work instructions, supporting production troubleshooting, collecting basic production data, and contributing to Lean/Six Sigma projects.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Introductory Lean concepts (5S, waste reduction).
• CAD exposure (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Excel / basic data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining standard work instructions.
• Support process troubleshooting on the production floor.
• Collect and analyze basic production data (scrap, cycle time, downtime).
• Participate in Lean / Six Sigma projects (often as a team member).
• Help implement process improvements and cost reduction ideas.
• Support tooling, fixtures, and equipment setup.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Work with operators and technicians to resolve day-to-day issues.
