Job summary

Altus Technology Solutions is seeking a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to support NSWC IHD manufacturing process engineering activities, focusing on energetic materials production and facility modernization efforts.

The role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety, and production teams to analyze processes, drive continuous improvement, develop SOPs and technical data packages, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
1 year of relevant engineering experience minimum.
Active U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance (must have interim clearance before start date).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and process improvement methodologies.
Ability to analyze technical data and identify process improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing process engineering activities for energetic materials production and manufacturing operations.
Analyze, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and production performance.
Support process improvement initiatives and implementation of engineering solutions for manufacturing challenges.
Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures, technical documentation, and engineering reports.
Assist in engineering analysis of production systems, manufacturing equipment, and facility operations.
