Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to support the Roseville, CA facility. You will perform preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs on fixed equipment within the Material Recovery Facility and C&D waste facility, diagnosing mechanical issues and completing repairs to maximize safe, productive operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years in an industrial setting, and proficiency with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, PLC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required; trade school certificate a plus.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• PLC troubleshooting with practical mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose or troubleshoot mechanical problems using charts, manuals, and expertise.
• Repair and maintain recycling and C&D equipment to keep operations safe and productive.
• Replace belts, motors, hydraulic cylinders and other mechanical parts.
• Maintain inventories; anticipate parts and supplies and place orders as needed.
• Use hand and power tools; fabricate repair parts; weld and cut as required.
• Work on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems as needed; follow safety policies.
• Operate at heights using aerial work platforms; perform other duties as assigned.

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.**Position Summary:**Under the direct supervision of the Plant Maintenance Manager, the Plant Mechanic is responsible for the complete Plant preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs of the fixed equipment supported in the Material Recovery Facility and C&D (Construction and Demolition) Waste Facility**Primary Duties and Responsibilities****:*** Diagnose or troubleshoot mechanical problems using charts, technical manuals and expertise.* Performs repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment and C&D equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.* Replaces conveyor belts, electrical motors, hydraulic cylinders and other mechanical parts.* Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.* Use hand tools, power tools and electrical tools.* Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.* Able to cut with torch and weld.* May repair and install plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.* Follows all safety policies and procedures.* Able to work on heights using Aerial Working Platform (boom lift, scissor lifts etc.)* Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.**Job Qualifications****Education:*** High school diploma or G.E.D.**Experience and Competencies:*** At least 3-5 years of industrial experience, training, or a combination* Strong background on hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair* PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical and electrical aptitude.* Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.* Proficient with OXY/Acet torch* Proficient in all welding processes* Prior experience working with conveyors.* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision* CMMS software experience preferred* Valid driver’s license.* Mechanical or trade school certificate.* Must be willing to work any shift & some weekends**Benefits*** Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)* Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)* Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)* Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)* Short-Term & Long-Term Disability* Training & Development* **Pay $28- $35***FCC Environmental Services, LLC operates in a multicultural, global environment and is a richly diverse organization operating seamlessly as one company.
