Job description

This role is onsite Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Only candidates in Atlanta, GA 30336 area will be reviewed.

Position Summary

Assists in a variety of duties pertaining to facility maintenance and cleaning services.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for the maintenance/upkeep of company's grounds, warehouse area and showroom floors.
• Small general mechanical repairs (electrical, plumbing, etc.)
• Keep coffee and ice machine areas stocked and machines up and running
• Organize storage closet
• Check tables and chairs for loose parts
• Replace burnt out bulbs
• Stock supplies and remove empty pallets
• Clean windows
• Clean spider webs
• Replace water filters every 6 months
• Dispose of general trash (indoor and outdoor), pallets, recyclables and patio trash as needed
• Change clock batteries and update time
• Clean will call area
• Dust lockers throughout facility
• Trim limbs and collect trash on company trail
• Cover Day Porter duties (stock bathroom with paper supplies and clean) when they are out.
• Assist in moving associate cubicles, desks and other furniture.
• Weekly cleaning of Fitness Center area.
• Set up the patio, conference and meeting rooms as needed.
• Order supplies when directed.
• Assist with pick-ups/deliveries and fill company vehicles with gas as needed.
• Perform safety inspections
• Document, report and assist in correcting all noted repairs throughout the day.
• Assist in all other facilities projects as needed and/or requested by Facilities Manager.

Position Requirements / Qualifications

Education: High School or GED equivalent

Experience: 1-2 years of experience of general maintenance experience preferred; apprenticeship experience

Special Skills / Qualifications: Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, HVAC training, good customer service skills, GA valid driver's license required.

Environmental Conditions

The incumbent may be exposed to toxins, chemicals, and extreme temperatures (30 degrees F – 115 degrees F), dust, fumes, moving mechanical parts, high pitched noises, or gases. The incumbent will spend approximately 75% of their time indoors.

Physical Demands

SEDENTARY WORK: Lifting 50 lbs. maximum and frequently lifting and/or carrying articles.

Physical Requirements

The incumbent must be able to frequently lift and/or push up to 100 pounds with some mechanical assistance. This position requires stooping, kneeling, bending, manual dexterity, repetitive hand and arm coordination, finger dexterity, vision acuity both far and near with depth perception. The incumbent will sit 25% of the time and stand/walk 75% of the time.
