Job summary

TechnipFMC plc seeks an entry-level machinist to produce high-quality components to exact specifications. You will learn to interpret QAP documentation, read drawings, and use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify parts.

Spends 95% of the time in a manufacturing/shop environment with 5% in an office setting, and may face hazards such as high-pressure equipment and loud conditions. Training is provided to develop essential machining skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Previous machining experience preferred.
• Previous inspection experience preferred.
• Ability to work in shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to effectively retrieve, understand, and adhere to QAP documentation.
• Gain ability to use measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
• Identify simple deviations in material requirements.
• Demonstrate fixturing, tool and machine offsets, setup documentation.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance/autonomous maintenance.
• Develop basic problem-solving skills and understand 5S principles.
