Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an entry-level Level 1 technician (helper) for a contract role based out of Lenoir, NC, at a data center. You should be trainable with a background in physically demanding work and a strong work ethic, with dependable attendance as a key trait.

Responsibilities include pulling/cabling in the data center, assembling racks, documenting locations, and supporting installation tasks under guidance from experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• Experience in physically demanding environments (construction, trades, military, or similar).
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Reliable attendance history.
• Hands-on electrical or military experience is valued.
• Able to work on ladders and lifts.

Responsibilities

• Pull and route cabling throughout the data center.
• Assemble, stack, and drill racks.
• Scan, label and port equipment; document locations/part numbers.
• Support general installation tasks as directed by experienced technicians.
