Job summary

Mortgage Solutions of Georgia is seeking a junior loan officer to guide applicants through the home loan process and support the team with training and technology. The role focuses on building personal relationships, collecting financial information, and generating new business opportunities to meet sales goals.

You will work with lenders, processors, and realtors to ensure loans close smoothly and advise applicants on suitable mortgage options based on their financial status.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to complete training program to obtain NMLS/MLO/state license.
• Knowledge of guidelines for loan programs (FHA, VA, etc.) is a plus but not required.
• Higher education is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communications, sales, relationship, and MS Office skills are necessary.
• Past experience in lending or financial services is a bonus but not required.
• Experience with mortgage file knowledge is helpful.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Create personal relationships with loan applicants – offer additional information and answer questions about home mortgage products
• Collect financial information in order to prepare the loan file, assist applicants with loan applications, and assess applicants’ financial situation and eligibility
• Generate new business opportunities, get referrals, monitor sales pipeline, and meet sales expectations
• Collaborate with the mortgage lender or mortgage banker, underwriter, loan processor, senior MLO / mortgage loan originator, and realtors on behalf of the applicant as needed to make sure the loan transaction goes through successfully
• Discuss options with senior mortgage loan officer/ MLO to make a recommendation of which home loan products are best suited depending on applicant’s financial status

Qualifications

• Must be willing to complete training program to obtain NMLS/ MLO/ state license
• Knowledge of guidelines for loan programs and various types of loans such as FHA, commercial loans, VA, etc is an asset, but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree is desired
• Exceptional communications, sales, relationship, and MS Office skills are necessary
• Past experience with credit unions, lending institutions, real estate, financial services, or related fields is a bonus, but not required
• Must have experience in the mortgage industry with Loan file knowledge
