Job summary

Landforms is seeking an entry-level Landscape Architect/Planner to support our Land Planning and Landscape Architecture team in Wayne, PA. You will assist with site analysis, planning, design, and technical production.

You will help prepare plans, sketches, and specifications, conduct site inspections, and review zoning regulations under supervision. Strong CAD, graphic, and planting design knowledge is expected in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or planning.
Experience is up to 3 years in planning, site, amenity, and landscape design.
Proficiency with grading and stormwater concepts.
Strong design and graphic abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work well in a team.
CAD experience, preferably AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, SketchUp, and V-Ray.
Plant material knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist design and preparation of plans, construction documents, and graphics.
Prepare sketches, final drawings, and technical specifications.
Conduct site inspections assessing vegetative inventories, slopes, drainage, solar aspect, and structures.
Perform feasibility studies.
Review zoning and land development regulations with supervisors.
Develop site, landscaping, and lighting design solutions.
Create presentation boards for agency and community presentations.
Ensure accuracy and annotation on plans, reports, exhibits.
Use CAD standards to produce drawings from marked-up plans.
Assist other departments with drafting and rendering needs.
