Mount Sinai's Milton and Carroll Petrie Department of Urology invites applications for an Associate Researcher I. This laboratory role conducts routine and standardized experiments under supervision, using appropriate techniques, and supports ongoing urologic research.

The successful candidate will assist in data analysis, interpretation of results, and preparation of materials for publication and presentation, while maintaining lab inventory and daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Conducts routine and standardized experiments.
  • Analyzes and interprets moderately complex results.
  • Maintains laboratory environment and inventory; may include ordering supplies.
  • Performs assays to support research studies.
  • Assists in collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts routine and standardized experiments using appropriate research techniques.
  • Analyzes and assists in interpreting moderately complex results.
  • Analyzes and assists in interpreting laboratory results.
  • Performs assays to support research studies.
  • Maintains laboratory environment and assists in upkeep of inventory; may include ordering supplies.
  • Logs and tests samples; prepares and submits laboratory materials and specimens for shipment.
  • Assists in new and unexpected research experiments and techniques.
  • Assists in the collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.
  • Performs other related duties.
