Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking an Associate Researcher I to conduct routine experiments and support multiple research studies in our laboratory in New York, NY. The role involves independent execution of standard experiments, data interpretation, and assisting with publication-ready results.

Responsibilities include performing assays, maintaining the lab and inventory, and assisting with sample handling and shipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in science or related field.
• No experience required. One year of research experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with mouse handling, husbandry, and basic in vivo techniques is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine and standardized experiments using appropriate research techniques.
• Analyzes and assists in interpreting moderately complex results.
• Analyses and assists in interpreting laboratory results.
• Performs assays to support research studies.
• Maintains laboratory environment and assists in upkeep of inventory; may include ordering supplies.
• Logs and tests samples; prepares and submits materials and specimens for shipment.
• Assists in new and unexpected research experiments and techniques.
• Assists in collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.
• Performs other related duties
