Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Kindergarten/Kindergarten teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a joyful, supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate will implement a play and project-based curriculum that addresses the developmental needs of young learners while laying a strong foundation for future academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
• Create a dynamic classroom environment that fosters exploration, inquiry, and creativity
• Observe and assess children’s development and learning to inform instruction and communicate progress
• Adapt learning experiences to meet the diverse needs, interests, and learning styles of all students
• Establish positive relationships with children and families based on mutual trust and respect
• Collaborate with teaching team to plan integrated learning experiences
• Participate in school events, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
• Maintain comprehensive records of student progress and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field
• Valid California teaching credential with early childhood experience preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching in Kindergarten or Pre-K settings
• Deep understanding of child development and early learning principles
• Experience with play-based and project-based learning approaches
