Job summary

Constellis seeks a Junior Handler to screen cargo in compliance with TSA rules, requiring a 4–8 week training/certification before deployment. Compensation varies by location, with rates of $23–$25 per hour, plus alternative regional rates.

Responsibilities include training participation, X-Ray/physical search duties, and maintaining canine care and records. Candidates must obtain required badges and clearances and be willing to travel.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must have held citizenship for at least 3 years prior to date of application.
• Must be able to obtain a Known Traveler Number (KTN) within 4–6 weeks of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge within 4–6 weeks of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a STA for Airport Badge within 4–6 weeks of employment.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• REAL ID compliant license or passport in addition to a valid license.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with time management.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CCSP related training to search cargo and identify potential threats.
• Conduct authorized representative duties related to X-Ray, physical search, and explosive trace detection as needed.
• Perform Junior Handler duties while commanding a trained working dog.
• Responsible for maintaining training records.
• Care for the assigned canine; canine may live at the employee's residence with inspections.
• Maintain all job-related certifications and required security clearances.
• Operate company vehicle during on-site training.
• Work conditions vary from busy training to fieldwork in inclement weather; schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays; travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
