Job summary

You will manage Microsoft environments, maintain security compliance, and ensure continuous operations in a classified DoD setting.

The role requires 6+ years of general experience, 2+ years in engineering, and an active DoD Secret clearance; travel up to 25% and certification requirements apply.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
  • 2+ years of directly related experience in an engineering field.
  • Current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE).
  • Active DoW Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • System Administration and operations of Microsoft environments.
  • Support ISSO cybersecurity compliance and operational sustainment.
  • Manage system configuration and operation of servers.
  • Maintain client-based computer systems and perform monitoring, scanning, and response activities.
  • Perform vulnerability management and routine patching per DoD guidance.
  • Analyze system health, performance, and automation tasks.

Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL
Clearance Required: Active DoW Secret Security Clearance
Travel Required: Up to 25% of the time with OCONUS required

This role directly supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract, where your technical contributions keep mission-critical systems secure, compliant, and continuously operational.

What You'll Be Doing
  • System Administration and operations of Microsoft environments
  • Support the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) cybersecurity compliance, operational sustainment, and other general IT tasks as required to ensure continuous performance and ATO
  • Manage system configuration and operation of servers
  • Manage, configure, maintain client-based computer systems
  • Perform system monitoring, scanning, and response activities
  • Perform administration operations and maintenance activities of hardware and software
  • Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot system errors and client system issues
  • Perform and maintain DoD Information System Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance with routine patching for updates released by vendors
  • Manage, update, and maintain configuration management of all configuration changes to systems, patches and anti-virus software updates
  • Perform system analysis for virtual service health status to include resource utilization and performance requirements to ensure optimal performance of systems
  • Perform routine scans and anti-virus software updates on all systems
  • Perform system automation activities with utilizing scripting tools/languages
  • Provide System Administration support for IT related meetings and configuration change board reviews
What You Bring
Basic Requirements:
  • Must have 6, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
    • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have 2, or more, years of directly related experience in an engineering field
  • Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification)
  • Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance
