Job summary

LaunchTech is seeking a driven Systems Administrator to support mission-critical DoD operations at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on Windows-based system administration, security compliance, and ongoing system sustainment for the IRES contract with MDA.

You will ensure continuous performance, aid ISSO activities, manage server configurations, patches, and vulnerability management while working in a classified, mission-driven environment with up-to-date certifications and

Qualifications

• Must have 6+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
• Must have 2+ years of directly related experience in an engineering field.
• Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE).
• Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• System Administration and operations of Microsoft environments.
• Support the ISSO cybersecurity compliance, operational sustainment, and other general IT tasks to ensure continuous performance and ATO.
• Manage system configuration and operation of servers.
• Manage, configure, maintain client-based computer systems.
• Perform system monitoring, scanning, and response activities.
• Perform administration operations and maintenance activities of hardware and software.
• Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot system errors and client system issues.
• Perform and maintain DoD IAVM compliance with routine patching for updates released by vendors.
• Manage, update, and maintain configuration changes to systems, patches and anti-virus software updates.
• Perform system analysis for virtual service health status to include resource utilization and performance requirements to ensure optimal performance of systems.
• Perform routine scans and anti-virus software updates on all systems.
• Perform system automation activities with utilizing scripting tools/languages.
• Provide System Administration support for IT related meetings and configuration change board reviews.

What You'll Be Doing

What You Bring

Basic Requirements:

• Must have 6, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
  • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
• Must have 2, or more, years of directly related experience in an engineering field
• Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification)
• Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance
