Job summary

Blackstone Talent Group in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Junior JIPCAN System Administrator to join our client's team supporting the Missile Defense Agency. You will perform system administration of Microsoft environments and help ensure compliance and security posture.

Responsibilities include server configuration, patching, vulnerability scanning, automation with scripting, and collaboration with the ISSO and change boards to maintain DoD IAVA/IAVM standards and continuous operation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of general full-time work experience.
• 2+ years in an engineering field.
• Active DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification and Secret clearance.

• Support ISSO cybersecurity compliance and ATO processes.

Description of Duties:

The Junior JIPCAN System Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) The candidate will: System Administration and operations of Microsoft environmentsSupport the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) cybersecurity compliance, operational sustainment, and other general IT tasks as required to ensure continuous performance and ATOManage system configuration and operation of serversManage, configure, maintain client-based computer systemsPerform system monitoring, scanning, and response activitiesPerform administration operations and maintenance activities of hardware and softwarePerform root cause analysis to troubleshoot system errors and client system issuesPerform and maintain DoD Information System Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance with routine patching for updates released by vendorsManage, update, and maintain configuration management of all configuration changes to systems, patches and anti-virus software updatesPerform system analysis for virtual service health status to include resource utilization and performance requirements to ensure optimal performance of systemsPerform routine scans and anti-virus software updates on all systemsPerform system automation activities with utilizing scripting tools/languagesProvide System Administration support for IT related meetings and configuration change board reviews

Basic Requirements:

Must have 6, or more, years of general (full-time) work experienceMay be reduced with completion of advanced educationMust have 2, or more, years of directly related experience in an engineering fieldMust have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification)Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance Security Clearance Required: Secret
