Job summary

BeaconFire Inc. is seeking a Java developer to build scalable web applications using Java 8/17, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL, and Kafka. You will write clean, maintainable code, and participate in code reviews and testing to ensure reliability.

The role covers the full development lifecycle in an Agile Scrum team, with emphasis on production deployment, monitoring, and security. You will also work on AI integration projects using Spring AI and LangChain4j, with vector databases and related tooling,

Qualifications

Understanding of the software development life cycle.
Basic programming skills in OOP with knowledge of common APIs and data structures.
Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic SQL queries.

Responsibilities

Develop scalable web applications using Java 8/17, Spring Boot, SQL, NoSQL, Kafka.
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code; perform code reviews.
Contribute to testing to ensure reliability and quality.
Participate in Agile Scrum and own full development lifecycle from planning to optimization.
Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and APIs.
Ship production-ready APIs with monitoring, CI/CD, cost/performance optimization, and security best practices.
Stay current with Java technologies and AI integration techniques.
