Job Description

The Junior IT System Administrator is responsible for the implementation and support of technology infrastructure including hardware, software, and office systems. The role involves diagnosing issues, providing help desk support, and maintaining technical documentation. Strong teamwork, customer service, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential. The position requires working in person, not remotely.

Essential Functions

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Monitor IT operations and respond to alerts.
  • Install and configure servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
  • Communicate plans, progress, and issues effectively.
  • Verify resolution with users and update ticketing systems.
  • Maintain technical documentation.
  • Track and prioritize support requests.
  • Contribute to process improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree.
  • At least 1 year of customer support/help desk experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a dynamic environment.
  • Desirable knowledge: MS Windows, Active Directory, VMware, networking fundamentals, information security.
