Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of professional interior design experience.
• Internship, academic, or relevant project experience will be considered.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, SketchUp, Revit, or other design software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of basic interior design principles, space planning, color, materials, and furnishings.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced design environment.
• Professional and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers with residential and commercial interior design projects.
• Develop design concepts, mood boards, presentations, and design narratives.
• Research furniture, fixtures, finishes, materials, and accessories.
• Assist with finish and material selections based on project requirements, budget, and overall design direction.
• Help develop cohesive color palettes and material schemes.
• Prepare presentation materials for client meetings.
• Assist in preparing floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, furniture plans, and other design drawings.
• Produce and revise CAD drawings under the direction of senior designers.
• Assist with 3D modeling and renderings as required.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and drawing files.
• Assist with design development and construction documentation.
• Assist with furniture, fixtures, and equipment selections.
• Prepare furniture and finish schedules.
• Obtain pricing, lead times, specifications, and product information from vendors.
• Order and track material samples.
• Assist with purchase orders and procurement documentation.
• Maintain accurate project and vendor records.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, showrooms, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist with client presentations and meetings.
• Participate in project discussions and design reviews.
• Help prepare proposals, presentations, specifications, and other project materials.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, contractors, and project team members.
• Assist with responding to client and vendor requests in a timely manner.
• Participate in site visits with senior designers and project managers.
• Document existing conditions and field measurements.
• Assist with punch lists and installation coordination.
• Review installations for consistency with approved design selections.
• Assist with resolving design-related issues encountered in the field.
• Maintain an organized materials and finish library.
• Catalog and organize samples, finishes, fabrics, tile, flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and other design resources.
• Maintain current vendor and product information.
• Assist with keeping the studio and project files organized.
• Hands-on experience across residential and commercial projects.
