Job summary

Actalent in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Junior Interior Designer with 2-5 years of professional experience in corporate interiors, workplace design, higher education, healthcare, civic, or other institutional projects. This individual will support all phases of the design process, from programming and concept development through construction administration, while collaborating closely with project managers, sr.

designers, and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional interior design experience.
  • Experience with corporate interiors, workplace environments, higher education, healthcare, government, or institutional projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Rendering/visualization tools such as Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, or SketchUp preferred.
  • Strong understanding of interior construction documentation and detailing.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing interior design concepts, space planning, and design presentations.
  • Prepare presentation materials, mood boards, finish palettes, renderings, and client-facing design packages.
  • Develop interior construction documents, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, and finish schedules.
  • Select furniture, fixtures, finishes and materials that align with project goals, budget and codes.
  • Conduct field surveys, site visits, and existing conditions assessments.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Support project teams throughout design, documentation, bidding and construction administration phases.
  • Research products, materials, and emerging workplace or institutional design trends.
  • Participate in client meetings and document project decisions and actions items.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and accessibility requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Philadelphia, PA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
